We went to China work for dinner last night. The waitress is very friendly and attentive. We order the pork soup and boil fish soup and those tastes amazing. I would recommend you to order those two dishes.

We decided to go to the China Wok for lunch today, and we were pleasantly surprised! A great little Chinese restaurant that is perfect for a good, quick, cheap lunch! In walking in, it doesn't look like much, however there are a good number of tables and the lady working there was very friendly, sweet and attentive without being invasive. Her daughter was there too, and was a sweet girl, I believe she was 3 years old. She came over a few times to check us out, however she was very well behaved and not an inconvenience at all! Their menu is great, with a lot of options, and also has some killer specials. They have about 6 or 7 dishes in the $6.95 category for lunch specials that include fried rice, and if you want a little extra there are about 10 or so other dishes that are in the $7.95 category, and these include soup and an egg roll as well as the fried rice. I got the sweet and sour chicken special, and it was really good! The chicken is all white meat, and the sweet and sour sauce was very tasty. The rice was different than other fried rice I have had, but it was different in a good way, and had a lot of flavor. Their egg rolls were good as well, and the portion size was just perfect for lunch. My husband had their lemon chicken, and said it was very good as well. One thing that stood out here was actually their egg flower soup! It was probably some of the best, most flavorful I have had anywhere! They have lots of ingredients in it too, such as tofu and assorted vegetables, and the broth was thicker in consistency. We all really enjoyed it! I will definitely be back here for more lunch specials, the value is great, and the food quality is really good as well. The lady that works here is also very nice and pleasant, and we had an all around great lunch today at the China Wok!

Clean friendly but everything we ordered came with a dark yucky sauce like made from soy sauce and kitchen bouquet??? YUCK! Both of our dishes had the same sauce and lacked flavor but sure was salty.... I would never go there again. Chop Suey inedilble with a dark brown sauce---WTF!

Place is huge and clean and the service is pretty good. Lunch specials are huge but the taste is meh. They have a huge selection of choices though. Their portions are REALLY HUGE, especially in the lunch special section. You can share with another person or take home and eat again later... if you don't mind the different tasting chicken. I think their sauces are just a bit off from your normal tasting chinese food.

This place is amazing! My boyfriend and I moved here from Portland and this was one of the first places we tried right off the bat. Everything is priced very reasonably, you get a lot of food for the price! At first it was a little difficult ordering but we went in with open minds not sure what to expect. This lady is so nice, you can really tell she wants to help in any way she can. Like one other reviewer mentioned, the food is very authentic and tastes amazing. Honestly, if she were to set up a food cart in Portland she would make some great business, it's hard to find food this fresh that tastes like this (not to mention there aren't that many Chinese food carts). That's another thing we love, the food tastes so good because it's fresh! So far we've tried the dinner specials with the orange chicken, mongolian beef, general chicken, and general beef and they're all great. My personal favorite is the mongolian beef. Since the beef is fresh it practically melts in your mouth, it's not chewy at all. The dinner specials include the meat entree portion, fried rice, a spring roll, and egg flower soup. The sauce on the orange chicken is great because they use whole chunks of orange peel in the sauce. The Chinese donuts are good too if you like Chinese donuts, they make them fresh to order so I love them. They're very simple: just a soft, fried ball of dough dipped in sugar (another amazing deal for the amount of food you receive). We've been in about once a week for the last several weeks and now she knows that while we're waiting for our take out order we like to have our egg flower soup (since they don't do soup to go). I also love that their egg flower soup is homemade and doesn't have dyes in it. Overall, this place is great and I highly recommend it.

Not impressed. The pork fried rice is devoid of pork and the chicken fingers for the sweet and sour chicken were small and overdone. Just not enough effort put into the product to warrant my going back.

Get our food 1 hour after ordering. Never had such experience in any Chinese restaurant.

The price wasn't bad. $8 for the dinner special. But there was a strange taste in all the food I ordered. The egg rolls tasted weird also. The one thing that was short of good was the orange chicken.

I recently came to Klamath falls to visit my boyfriend's family, since we are busy doing this and that for the holiday, and no one has the desire to cook from all the shopping and gifting.., we order from here a lot lately. As a new yorker, I would say this is not your typical chinese take out store front, the food is restaurant quality and it is NOT your usual run of the mill chinese take out joint. The place is clean and the food never looks like it was sitting around and dumped into the container. It always looks like it was made on the spot "with love" (Mom doesn't even do that!) They have actual restaurant style dishes that you would find in China, Those are REAL Chinese dishes, not Americanized dishes with some cheese in the wonton soup.. ok maybe not.. I've tried picking random dishes and I haven't been disappointed yet.!!!...I think one big reason for this is because their food is sooooo fresh...I have not tasted anything here that I do not like. Always tasty but not greasy, and for that price?! You will never go wrong!~

This is a very nice little restaurant. The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. The building is clean and the decor is not fancy, but quite nice. The service was also relaxed, and very good. Our server was attentive without being overbearing or obsequious. We felt as though she was serving guests in her own house. Different people have different tastes, hence there are many recipes for any given dish. The food was a little saltier than I prefer, and they are a bit heavy-handed with the soy sauce, but overall, it was quite good. The egg flower soup is heartier than you usually find, with vegetables and a little tofu in it. The almond chicken had lovely big chunks of mushroom in it. We'll go back.

Friendly service. Food was nothing special. Soup and large cup of tea are complimentary. Everything was served in styrofoam. Also, I was the only person in there as I ate. No other customers came in or called the entire time I was there. That says something about the place. Won't be going back and kind of expect them to go out of business soon.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
